Wow this is my 100th interview with the Angel! I had the idea in 1992 when I was on my boat in Mexico. We were in a marina and I was looking through some books that other boaters left in the book exchange box, I saw the book Interview with a Vampire and I picked it up with a couple of others. When I started to read the book I felt depressed, of course it was fiction but I felt it was dark and depressing so I put it aside. Later I got to thinking what about AN INTERVIEW WITH AN ANGEL!
I started to write a book but I just could not get started. So I waited until I got back to the states. Thats when I thought a "blog" would be the answer a blog based on Bible scripture.
When I started to read the Bible in church when I was in high school I was guided by Sunday school teachers and fell into the "legalist" view (you had to do this and that to be saved and stay saved. Later when I was in college I was studying Philosophy and I felt that the Bible should be included.
I started reading the Bible as a philosophy with out the Church. I got many different messages. I soon understood why so many people don't understand it. I feel that one main reason is it was first written by Israelites for Israelites. It was not written for Gentiles, so if you are a Gentile (basically anyone who is not a Israelite or Jew) the Old Testament was not written with you in mind.
The New Testament is more for you. Christ came to our world to restore the power of our Creator to the entire world, not just the Israelites (Romans 2-14) "When Gentiles who have not the law do by nature what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law."
Romans 15-21 also explains But as it is written, "they shall see who have never been told of him, and they shall understand who have never heard of him."
Romans is one of Pauls letters, which I feel were for us Gentiles, the word "him" is of course Christ. Many of my friends don't attend Church or read the Bible but they are wonderful, kind people and I know they will be with the Lord at their passing.
