Interview 127 Copyright © David C. Fowler - Oct. 2020 Breonna Taylor, the woman killed by the police on a mistaken raid in her apartment was totally inexcusable! In my opinion there was poor planning, communication, execution and judgement on the part of the police. Somebody got the address wrong, a real simple process getting the correct address, we do it all the time. You would think when you're planning to raid a drug house or apartment, with three or more police with guns at the ready, you would double and triple the address, right? They should charge manslaughter on all involved in her shooting. How can any of us rest safely in our homes with this going on? I dont understand why the police are not as careful as the FBI. They seem to put a lot more work into their investigations. I've never heard of them breaking in on two innocent people and killing one, unarmed woman. I feel like I'm living in the old west, not modern society! It's clear to me that the sheriffs and police dont have enough physical training, they should have martial arts courses so they wouldnt need their tasers or guns so much. When I was a teen I learned Jiu-Jitsu from a retired marine. It gave me confidence and I was not afraid of the bullies anymore. Jiu-Jitsu uses grappling, and not punching or kicking which is not appropriate in school. I don't see why our police could not be trained in that form for controlling a combative person. From what I saw on TV before all of the shows were canceled, it was easy to see the officers were either not trained or skilled in martial-arts. It's winter now and Manchester was not on the boat. I dont blame him, maybe I'll look for him down south... Until next month, your correspondent, Dave. |
