The other day my wife and I were watching a movie about a young boy about six years old that drowned in a swimming pool. It was a very sad movie. Many children die every day from various causes, many are crippled at birth or accidents. Many people in general die every day.
What happens to us when we die? The big question we all ponder at times. Many religions have their answers; most Christians believe that they will end up in heaven, streets paved in gold etc., no pain, no one gets sick or dies. Sounds wonderful, many of us say, but what of our loved ones - will we see them, be re-united with them?
The book of Revelations by John as directed by Christ, tells of a time in the future I won’t try to explain because it’s not going to happen in our time, I hope.
I would like to imagine that when we leave this world we would find ourselves in a place much the same as this world, without the pain and suffering. In our present life - our bodies being physical in a physical world - we have to feel pain for its protection, i.e. a “hand on a hot stove”.
Sometimes I like to think that our Angels were some of our ancestors, watching over us, or that we will be assigned to watch over our grandchildren, as in “Interstellar” the movie. Or perhaps to assist in the search and development of a new world somewhere, as our Creators may have done for us.
We could also be witnesses as how we dealt with our lives, how viewed each other, and the world that was created for us. Did we help to destroy it with our pollution, wars etc.? We are designed to not live too long, a timetable designed by our Creator to make room for others.
I wonder what our Angel Manchester will say?
"You have found that all of you have what most would described as a 'short' life span, no matter where you live or what race you are and how you live. Everyone in your world had to be created basically the same, some are larger, stronger but none has a lock on long life. A steady life of one hundred years or more for those of the same race born and living in one area. Think about it."
