Last time I saw the Angel it was raining. Now we have snow. The docks are slippery, but I must see the Angel. We as a nation have been struck in our hearts by a horrible event. A young man possessed by a devil killed twenty children and six adults.
The reporters on TV and radio are speculating on many reasons as to why. They blame his guns and mental illness. There are some who blame "God", They feel he could have prevented it.
I have asked Manchester about this in the past but I feel his views are important and they bear repeating. He was on the boat. This was his answer.
"You are very special, unique in the universe, created to learn and witness the power of your creator. Your experiences and observations would not be genuine if you were not free to see and feel life as it truly is.
"Your Holy Bible, history and personal experiences tell you that you are surrounded by evil. Evil will always find a way to shock you, sadden you and harm you. Show you how vulnerable you are.
"Evil will use guns bombs vehicles anything they can to harm you. Evil causes you to hate and want to do harm to all that you value, and love. It will invade anyone who will allow it in. Your best protection is to love your Heavenly Father, read your Bible, pray and worship him as best as you can. In that he will equip you to deal with these events.
"Those who love the Lord know that those children are with your Father in Heaven right now surrounded with love and peace. The adults who died trying to protect them and the others will also be with them as our Creator wills it.
"I suggest you pray for their families, to seek comfort with the Lord so they can heal as best as they can. It will take a long time and the pain will never go away completely.
"If the young man had sought out the Lord and not attempted to deal with his pain alone things would have been different. Sadly your society pushes violence and immorality through its media and mocks those who believe in Christ and salvation.
"I fear your nation is headed for difficult times."
With that he was gone.
