Here we go again on abortion. Someone on the Supreme Court of the United States leaked out to the press that they are considering throwing the abortion law - that has been in place for almost fifty years - back to the states.

As I understand it, the laws on abortion that have been set in the states will be enforced or not enforced by those states. Those who need one will have to go to one of the states that are "OK" with it.

I personally cannot criticize those who do, for I have aided in some. When I was young I was careful to use protection but there were a few times it failed and I could not blame my partner. She always had her choice, I was willing to do what she felt was right. I have always felt that the woman was the most important one in these situations. Carrying a child full term is very difficult and painful, let alone making the delivery.

My wife had a difficult time with our first child, she was overdue, and she had to have a Caesarian after a number of hours of painful labor. I have stated many times how I feel, woman are much stronger and braver than us men. I also feel most are wiser than we are. When they are young without older brothers they are easy prey for bullies, my wife was punched in the stomach almost every day in the first grade by a boy that saw she was cute, go figure.

 When I first met her in the Long Beach Ski Club, she was much younger than I was and had a boy-friend so I just admired her. One evening she came alone and I pounced! She went to the alter a virgin. We both wanted to go by the rules, one good way to avoid un-wanted children. We have been Married fifty-eight years.

What woud Manchester say?

But take care before you lay blame, as we are reminded to 'judge not that ye be not judged'. Those who have to make the choice have the burden. Both the woman and man should have counsel and privacy."
