An Angel on My Boat!

Here comes the storms... Every year we get storms that cause great damage, injury and death. It makes me wonder why so many of us choose to live in these areas. I can understand those who want to live near family, I have a friend who moved to Florida to be with his son and granddaughter, there are some who want to be near friends.

I feel that Florida, is one of the most dangerous places to live. I spent about a month in June, five years ago. Here is a list of some of the dangers in Florida; hurricanes, sink holes, lighting strikes, alligators, and sharks. I have traveled through Florida several times and I love it, Sanibel Island, was beautiful and special, there is a game preserve there intertwined in a R.V. park, where we stayed a couple of nights. I wonder what became of the animals there?

All of those boats piled up like cord wood, I wonder why didn’t they move their boats out of danger? I have a boat on a trailer and I would have moved it a week before it was scheduled to hit, the larger boats could be moved way up the Mississippi river, even if they were insured the insurance usually does not cover it enough.

When we were in a small tour boat on a canal I noticed a number of properties for sale, they had a mobile home and a small boat dock, I asked how much were they asking for them? She told me most of them were around sixty to seventy thousand dollars! I was amazed and I asked why so cheap? She said they were in a Hurricane area and that’s why the homes were not “stick-built”, it made me wonder why those on the beaches didn’t do the same thing? Why not have zoning laws to require it, up on stilts so vehicles could park under them?

Where am I going with all of this? Well the reason is, many of us complain, where is Gods protection? Why not ask Manchester the Angel?

"We get this all of the time... The reason is, how will you learn if you are protected all of the time? When you select an area that is dangerous and don'’t take the necessary precautions, you will have problems. You had plenty of time to leave the area, but many of you chose not to leave or waited until it was too late. Why don’t you elevate your homes and buildings and leave to safety?"

With that, he vanished.
