One of Voltaire's quotes that I and I suppose many of you would agree, was "All war is a ridiculous waste of human life and effort."
Here we are being forced to pay for two wars, one of which may never be over in my lifetime. That one is being fought in Israel, according to the bible the prophet Ezekiel 39-27 (when I have brought them back from the peoples and have gathered them from their enemies' lands, and through them have vindicated my holiness in the sight of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord their God because I sent them into exile among the nations, and then gathered them into their own land, I will leave none of them remaining among the nations any more; and I will not hide my face any more from them, when I pour out my spirit upon the house of Israel, says the Lord God.)
I find this prophesy one of the most amazing ones in the Bible, written over three thousand years ago. We have the opportunity to witness these events. Some of us are old enough to have seen how the Jews were mistreated by Hitler and his thugs. How WW-II ended and the Jews were given their land to them through the League of Nations and the U. N.
Soon after the signing of the boarders the Arab Nations attacked and were defeated. In most wars when you lose you give up land. Many times Israel has returned land to the Palestine’s and it seems they won’t be satisfied until Israel is gone, it will not happen, ever, so says the Bible.
