Manchester was explaining how easily Islamic radicals were able to recruit followers outside their territories and faith. He told us that our "pop" culture helps them to point out how corrupt we are as a society and nation. I thought a good question would be about what we could do as Christians to combat the negative impact our media has on America's image.
"Your Heavenly Father, your Creator, has designed you in a way, which is very unique from all the animals on your planet. You have a much more efficient brain and less of a body as to strength, agility and the ability to survive the raw elements.
"Because of this he gave you, over the centuries, rules - given at different times to different cultures - such as the tribes of Israel, and later to the Christians. The most well known of course is the Ten Commandments given to the Children of Israel.
"Later, Christ, was sent to you to free you from the literal interpretation of the Ten Commandments and instill a simpler set of rules. Your Heavenly Father realized that it was very difficult for most of you to follow TEN SIMPLE RULES! Also he wanted to expand the concept of one GOD, one CREATOR to the rest of the world. He sent Christ, your Savior.
"If most of the world followed the Commandments and the Law of the Prophets (Love your neighbor as yourself, do unto others as you would have them do unto you) just think how wonderful and simple life would be.
"Having marriage before children - with both partners committing to each other to be loving and financially responsible - would create an environment that would be more loving and longer lasting. Raising your family as a team. Your love should be deep enough to look beyond your disagreements, more forgiving."
"You should pray for and elect leaders who try to follow these principals. Do your best to follow them and your lives will be better."
After that he vanished.
